I have NO problem tipping a server when they deserve it and I normally tip generously but this was too much.To get great prices on tickets to this fun evening, take advantage of Medieval Times coupons offering discounts of up to 43% off. ![]() He even followed her down the walkway asking her if she was going to tip him. When one member of our party refused his demanded tip, he harassed her 3 different times requesting his tip. When he received the tip we gave him, he stood there and instead of saying thank you, he asked who all the tip "covered". That's $90 for horrible service and no personality. Then at the end of the show, even with the horrible service he provided, we still tipped him over $30 because he made it a point to give us a gratuity card and pretty much demanded that we give him $10 per person in our party. ![]() Not to mention he only gave us limited drink choices and then we found out later that other choices were available on our on. Not only did our server have the personality of a brick wall, but 2 family members had to drink from someone else's drink because he did not give them re-fills. The show and food itself was good, however our service was horrible. Whaaa? It was good to knock a bucket list item off. Later they said i could have a refill for $5. (Remember that) we got the "medieval times" cups. ok I had an alcoholic drink and my husband had a soda. the waiter asked why I didn't eat anymore. The special extra dessert was (our anniversary 10th) an piece of sheet cake that tasted like it had been in the fridge for several days(a little dry but still sweet). if you're raised with manners this is an issue. Now, I normally, don't like anything tomato. we got half a freaking dry seasoned chicken, one potato wedge, a roll. It was our anniversary, so a special night. We paid extra for the name read out thing. I can't speak for every person but my experience is some of the players are really into it and others are are just "there". ![]() What I thought was hysterical about that situation was that Christmases were highly celebrated in Medieval castles so acknowledging the day would have actually been in keeping with the authenticity of the show. Like they could get in trouble if they were overheard. Like saying Merry Christmas to a server when we were leaving and they looked around and then whispered Merry Christmas back. The guests were friendly and wishing others a Merry Christmas but it was almost like the people working were warned not to say anything. With regards to going on Christmas day, I feel like they went out of the way to not to acknowledge that it was Christmas day. Chicken was moist and they gave to-go bags for all the leftovers. ![]() As far as the meal goes, it was better than I expected. There was no "priority seating access" and everyone had cheering banner so I'm not sure what those are supposed to mean on the website. I thought for sure that our seats would be better since we made sure to get there early and were the 3rd family to check in at the VIP window. There are 3 sections on each side of the arena and we were in a side section towards the middle. We did purchase the Royalty upgraded VIP seats but I'm not sure it was worth it since I guess almost everyone has VIP seats. The other people who spoke were fine but no one in our party could understand the queen (and we are around many Hispanics day-to-day and don't usually have issues understanding). So glad that it didn't smell like horse! The storyline of the show was a bit difficult to follow since the "queen" had such a thick Hispanic accent. The show was very good and we loved seeing the performance.
